Sales Development Representative (SDR)

About the Role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Network Brainiacs, you will own the sales process from initial prospecting through closing new business.

This is not a traditional SDR role where you simply book appointments for another salesperson. You will generate your own opportunities, book and conduct your own First-Time Appointments (FTAs), qualify prospects, move qualified opportunities through our Network IQ assessment process, present solutions and findings, follow up, handle objections, and close your own deals.

This is a performance-driven role for someone who is hungry, competitive, resilient, coachable, and motivated by the opportunity to build their income through results.

What You'll Own

  • Generate qualified new business opportunities through consistent outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email, social outreach, networking, and disciplined follow-up.

  • Book and conduct your own First-Time Appointments (FTAs) with qualified business decision-makers.

  • Use strong discovery questions to uncover business pain, cybersecurity concerns, technology challenges, urgency, and potential business impact.

  • Qualify prospects and move appropriate opportunities into the Network IQ assessment process, coordinating with our technical team to complete the assessment.

  • Present Network IQ findings and Network Brainiacs solutions to prospects, translating technical findings into clear business risks, recommendations, value, and business outcomes.

  • Prepare for and conduct sales presentations, confidently answer questions, handle objections, and ask for the business.

  • Maintain consistent and professional follow-up throughout the sales process.

  • Maintain accurate prospect, activity, pipeline, and opportunity information in our CRM and sales systems.

  • Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting → FTA → qualification → Network IQ → presentation/proposal → follow-up → close.

  • Be accountable for prospecting activity, FTAs, qualified opportunities, pipeline creation, closing performance, and new monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

Who You Are

  • You have excellent spoken and written English with confident, professional phone communication.

  • You are comfortable making consistent outbound calls and speaking directly with business owners, executives, office managers, practice managers, and other decision-makers.

  • You have strong discovery and listening skills and can ask meaningful questions instead of simply reading from a script.

  • You are competitive, resilient, self-motivated, and capable of handling rejection without allowing it to affect your attitude or activity.

  • You are comfortable being measured by results and taking ownership of your performance.

  • You are willing to own the entire sales process rather than simply generating leads for someone else to close.

  • You can learn to discuss technology and cybersecurity in clear, non-technical business language.

  • You understand that successful selling is about identifying real problems, creating value, earning trust, and recommending the right solution—not pressuring someone into buying something they do not need.

  • You demonstrate strong organization, follow-up, CRM discipline, personal accountability, and time management.

  • You have high character, honesty, coachability, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to help businesses and people.

Nice to Have

  • Previous SDR, BDR, Account Executive, inside sales, or full-cycle B2B sales experience.

  • Experience personally conducting discovery appointments and closing your own opportunities.

  • Experience selling managed IT, cybersecurity, SaaS, telecommunications, or other recurring B2B services.

  • Experience prospecting and selling to small and medium-sized businesses.

  • Experience communicating with business owners and executive decision-makers.

  • Experience using CRM, prospecting, dialer, email-sequencing, or sales-intelligence platforms.

  • Familiarity with managed IT services, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, networking, cloud technologies, backup/disaster recovery, or business technology.

  • A demonstrated history of meeting appointment, pipeline, closing, or revenue targets.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Location: Remote

  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EDT, Monday–Friday

  • Base Compensation: $1,200 per month

  • Additional Compensation: Performance-based commission for closed business

  • Holidays: All USA core holidays

  • PTO: 12 days

  • Reporting Structure: Reports to the CEO

This is a performance-driven sales position. Your base compensation provides stability, but your ability to increase your earnings will be directly tied to your ability to generate opportunities and close new business.

How Success Is Measured

Success in this role is not measured by simply being busy. You will be expected to consistently produce measurable sales outcomes.

Performance will be evaluated through:

  • Outbound prospecting activity

  • First-Time Appointments (FTAs) booked

  • FTAs completed

  • Qualified opportunities generated

  • Network IQ assessments advanced

  • Sales presentations completed

  • Pipeline created

  • Follow-up discipline

  • Closing performance

  • New monthly recurring revenue (MRR) generated

Ultimately, new MRR and closed business are the primary outcomes of this position.
