Account Manager
About the Role
As an Account Manager at Network Brainiacs, you will own the health, retention, and growth of a portfolio of managed-service clients.
This is not a passive customer-service role. You will build trusted relationships with our clients, understand their businesses, ensure they are receiving exceptional value from Network Brainiacs, identify risks before they become problems, and uncover opportunities where additional technology or services can improve their business.
You will serve as the bridge between our clients and our technical teams while helping protect and grow the recurring revenue entrusted to you.
What You’ll Own
Client Retention: Build strong relationships, monitor client satisfaction, identify churn risks early, and proactively address concerns to protect long-term relationships and renewals.
Account Growth: Identify and close appropriate upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base by understanding each client's business, technology environment, risks, and future needs.
Client Strategy: Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), technology roadmap discussions, budgeting conversations, renewals, and strategic account planning.
Client Experience: Serve as the primary business-facing point of contact for assigned clients and ensure they consistently receive an exceptional experience from Network Brainiacs.
Ownership & Escalations: Take ownership when problems occur, coordinate with our technical and service teams, communicate proactively, and follow issues through to resolution.
Business & Technology Alignment: Translate technical recommendations involving cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, networking, cloud, backup/disaster recovery, and other managed services into clear business outcomes.
Executive Relationships: Build credibility and trusted-advisor relationships with business owners, CEOs, CFOs, practice managers, and other decision-makers.
We believe in selling through service. You will be expected to grow your accounts, but we never want to sell a client something they do not need. The goal is to understand the client's business well enough to recognize where Network Brainiacs can genuinely provide additional value.
Who You Are
An exceptional communicator who can build relationships, present confidently, and follow through on commitments.
Proactive about client retention and able to recognize dissatisfaction or churn risk before a relationship is lost.
Comfortable with consultative selling, including uncovering needs, presenting solutions, discussing budgets and pricing, handling objections, and asking for the business.
Business-minded and capable of connecting technology investments to productivity, security, risk, compliance, continuity, and growth.
Organized and disciplined with documentation, prioritization, time management, and follow-up.
Comfortable communicating with both executives and technical professionals.
Someone who takes ownership rather than saying, “That's another department's problem.”
Honest, accountable, professional, positive, and genuinely interested in serving clients and teammates.
